Butterfly Design Digital Download - A4

This is the butterfly guide you wished existed when you were starting your face painting journey.

This Face Painting Butterfly Design Guide is a comprehensive digital download designed to help face painters at every stage understand, practise, and develop their butterfly designs with genuine confidence. It goes beyond a simple how-to, walking you through the thinking behind the design so that every decision you make on the job is an intentional one.

Inside you'll find two pages of anatomy and design comparison explaining the deliberate adjustments that make a butterfly design work on a real face. From there, four linework and one stroke practice sheets give you structured ways to build muscle memory for both teardrop/linework and one stroke butterfly styles. A placement template rounds out the guide, showing you where a butterfly design sits most naturally on the face so you can explore and experiment from a position of confidence rather than guesswork.

What's included:

• Two-page anatomy and design comparison
• Linework practice sheet for core lines and curves
• Four examples of linework butterfly arrangements
• One stroke brush movement practice sheet
• Four examples of one stroke butterfly arrangements
• Placement template with guide lines for positioning

Printing notes: Print all templates at 100% scale for a realistic representation of a child's face. Pages can be printed on standard white paper or brown kraft paper for a more skin-toned finish. Paint directly onto paper or laminate and use under a clear plastic mat over and over again.
