Moms hold a wealth of knowledge and insights about their children, but what would happen to this vital information if something were to happen to you? Would your carefully arranged schedule be forgotten? Would anyone be aware of your children's activities, medical appointments, their favorite comforting songs during times of distress, or where to locate important documents?

In Heritage Planning for Moms, I provide guidance on how to ensure all your knowledge is transferred to the individual who will care for your children if anything were to happen to you before they turn 18.

I experienced the loss of a spouse and my children's father a decade ago this September. This experience taught me the importance of being organized and addressing difficult subjects like death, as I want my children to be protected and cared for, and I know you share the same feelings about yours.

I have dedicated a significant amount of time contemplating how to help you prepare for the possibility of passing away before your children reach adulthood. Life is unpredictable, and while it can be a challenging topic to address, it is our duty as mothers to plan as thoroughly as possible for unforeseen circumstances.

As a fellow mother, I've tailored this to be as straightforward as possible, recognizing that we don’t need more apps or platforms to manage. Our goal is to prepare for worst-case scenarios, ensuring our children are protected, comforted, and cared for; however, it should remain manageable, especially given the many responsibilities we already handle daily.

I hope this Heritage Planning for Moms assists you in feeling organized in your legacy planning, lifting some of the weight off your shoulders.

Having faced widowhood at 35 with two young children, I truly understand the anxiety that accompanies worries about my kids if something were to happen to me.

I know what has helped alleviate my fears, allowing me to cherish precious moments with my children, confident that I’ve done my best to prepare for life's uncertainties.
