Automobili Lamborghini, known as Lamborghini or Lambo, is an Italian manufacturer of sports cars and SUVs based in Sant'Agata Bolognese. Founded in 1963 by Ferruccio Lamborghini to compete with Ferrari, it stood out for its rear mid-engine design. After financial crises and several changes of ownership, in 1998 it became part of the Volkswagen Group under the Audi division.
