Orlando History Hunt for Kids 11-13 | Printable Travel Investigation Book, 68 Pages | Instant Download
Six places. Six questions. Your own conclusions.
Orlando has a story beyond the parks. This is a story led investigation for kids 11 to 13. They read what happened at each stop, step into a labeled flashback, then work the clues and decide what the evidence supports.
The stops: Lake Eola and Fort Gatlin, citrus and the History Center, Eatonville, the secret land buyers, roads, rails and the jetport, and the work behind a visit.
Every stop has story pages, clue challenges, a go there page for when you're standing at the real spot and a case journal page. If you can't get there, it works from home too.
They look at each place through six lenses. Geography, religion, achievements, politics, economics and social structure.
At the end they write an Orlando letter and earn the Orlando City Sleuth certificate, with their name on it.
There's a check your clues page for grown ups, so you can talk it through with them.
