Magnetic Abstraction
Magnetic Abstraction, created by John Robert Beck in 2008, is an exploration of geometric motion, transparency, and layered color built around triangular shapes derived from the 30 - 60 degree angle. Angular forms drift across the composition like suspended planes, while soft linear textures and swirling marks create a feeling of movement beneath the surface. Bright passages of magenta, orange, turquoise, violet, and green interact with darker accents to produce contrast, rhythm, and depth. The piece balances precision and spontaneity, giving the composition a strong visual tension and an almost magnetic pull.
