Located a short distance from Canterbury, Stodmarsh is owned by Natural England and is a large area consisting of open water, shallow lagoons and extensive reed beds. Four modern hides and a series of nature trails offer great opportunities to see a range of species depending on the season. As with any reserve it is worth checking local reports to see what is around before a visit, but Stodmarsh is worth a look any time of the year. The video shows several of the resident species such as Marsh Harrier, Kingfisher and Bearded Reedling as well as rarer visitors such as Great White Egret and Glossy Ibis.
