Converging Flow Socks

In thinking about the name of the colorway for this yarn—Eruption—I kept having visions of lava flows. These visions became the simple broken rib motif that comes together on the back of the leg and the top of the foot. An easy knit, the pattern instead may push you to try—or come back to—a new-to-you heel and toe technique.

These socks feature a split short row heel with gussets. This gives you a little more space in the heel, so if you find that standard short row heels are too tight and pointy for you, this is a great solution. The toe, for good measure, is also done in short rows and then grafted on the underside of the foot, rather than at the toe.
