AN INTRODUCTION TO ALGORITHMIC TRADING - BUILDING TRADING BOTS
The book is organized in five parts.
Part One builds the vocabulary of trading itself: markets, positions,
order types, and the risks that come with leverage - language you will need no matter which platform or
language you eventually code in.
Part Two introduces QuantConnect, a managed platform that handles
backtesting and broker connections for you.
Part Three walks through building a complete strategy on
QuantConnect, piece by piece.
Part Four covers the safety checks worth running before any bot touches
real money.
Part Five moves beyond QuantConnect entirely and connects directly to Bybit's exchange
using its official SDKs - in Python, Node.js, and Go in turn - before closing with deployment, hosting, and
security guidance for running a bot in production.
If you already know what a market order or a short position is, feel free to skim Part One and start with
Part Two or jump straight to Part Five. If you are completely new to trading, read Parts One through
Four in order first - Part Five assumes that foundation. Within Part Five, feel free to read only the
language section that matches your own background; the three languages teach the same concepts
side by side, so nothing after Chapter 36 requires reading all three.
