An Outlander-inspired sock pattern featuring an arching eyelet pattern based on the stones of Craigh Na Dun and a slip stitch up the back of the leg. Named (ironically) after the only Fraser who canonically cannot knit.

The Sassenach sock is knit toe-up using a fleegle heel. That means no waste yarn, no wrapping, and no picking up stitches. Additionally, if you prefer DPNs, the pattern can be worked on those, as well. The simple lace and slipped stitches are great for intermediate beginners!

These socks can fit somewhat tight, especially around the calves, so I recommend going up a size if you don’t like a very snug sock.

Please contact me if you have any questions or issues with the pattern! And tag me on Instagram, I’d love to see your work!
