Anatomy of a Secret

A secret is a small stone kept under the tongue.

Eventually, it tastes like iron.

We are a world of altered vocabularies. Every day, we walk through crowds carrying hidden weights, carefully modulating our vowels to make sure the truths we hide never click against our teeth.

In this hauntingly poetic and visceral exploration, Anatomy of a Secret pulls back the veil on the silent burdens we choose to carry. It charts the heavy, destructive lifecycle of the things we leave unsaid:

• A secret is a small stone kept under the tongue.
• Eventually, it tastes like iron.
• If you swallow it, it sits in your belly like a lead weight.
• If you spit it out, it shatters like glass at your feet.
• Most people just learn to speak around the stone.

Deeply relatable and beautifully sharp, this literary masterpiece is a mirror held up to the quiet compromises of the human heart.

It is a short, powerful read for anyone who has ever swallowed a truth, protected a lie, or learned the delicate art of speaking around the stone.

How long can you hold yours?
