Scale of the Week

A step by step approach to scales for piano students. Included are: major, natural minor, harmonic minor, melodic minor, blues scales and Dorian and Mixolydian modes for each key.

Each scale is shown in the treble and bass clefs and includes: note names, universal recommended fingerings, some common chords found in the scale and short musical example(s).

The musical examples can be used as practice pieces and/or sight reading and the chords could be the basis of compositions in a key.

Keys included in this download are: C, G, F, D, Bb, A and Eb with the relevant minor scale and modes.
