Sound Clock

Sound Clock transforms the passage of time into music generated in real time.

The app interprets the current datetime (year, month, day, hour, minute, second) and translates it into musical parameters; each instant produces a unique and unrepeatable sound signature.

The 24 hours correspond to the 24 tones.

Each minute has its own modal character.

The melody of each second is calculated in real time and deterministically based on the current datetime.

A second bass voice is also generated to accompany the melody.

The two voices can drive MIDI instruments.
