Esther the Brave Queen

By Kimani Upshur, M.Ed.

Esther the Brave Queen retells the true story of Esther from the Bible in ten chapters written to be read aloud, about five minutes each. An orphan girl raised by Mordecai is chosen to be queen in Susa — and when Haman's terrible plan threatens her people, she prays and fasts for three days, then risks her life to go to the king, 'for such a time as this' (Esther 4:14). Every chapter ends with a Do action or a Pray prayer, and the book closes with 'A Special Invitation: Give Your Life to Jesus,' including the Sinner's Prayer and what comes next. Scripture quotations are from the ESV. Written from a Christian worldview — Scripture first.
