The Awesome Intern Method is a free skill for Claude that carries everything in the book How Content Creators Use AI to Work Smarter, Create Better, and Grow Faster (The Awesome Intern Book 1) — the four questions, the handover line, the phase-by-phase guidance, the four tests. Install it once and it works quietly in the background: it'll diagnose why a prompt is giving you grey mush, tell you which of the four questions you left out, and push back when you try to hand over something that should have stayed yours.
It also does the thing a printed book can't. When you need a tool, it goes and looks up what's actually current rather than recommending something that died last spring.
It's free, it takes two minutes to install, and it adapts to whatever you make.
To install:
- Download the the-awesome-intern-method skill
- In Claude go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload
- Select the the-awesome-intern-method skill
- The skill should be ready to use
Claude should automatically refer to the skill when needed. If it doesn't ask it to refer to the the-awesome-intern-method skill and generate a response.
