Paris Activity Book for Kids

The Paris Activity Book is designed to acquaint kids with Paris, and most importantly get them EXCITED about their vacation!

This workbook is 26 pages packed with fun facts on museums and monuments, coloring pages, a crossword, a word search, as well as prompts for creative projects like drawing what they are most excited to eat in France, and designing their own street art. The last page is a list of Paris challenges for their trip! This workbook is best for kids between the ages of 5-10 or so.

These self-guided tours for families are chock full of all my go to historical tidbits, treat spots, parks and activities, curated over the course of living in Paris with my kids, and giving hundreds of tours to families.

These guides are meant to accompany you through your visit neighborhoods – they will give you prompts and questions to keep your kids engaged, while the whole family learns about Paris!

Please note that these are downloadable PDF files with a link to a Google map, and ideal for kids ages 4 and up. Even adults will learn plenty!

Montmartre:

Montmartre is a very special neighborhood in Paris, brimming with history, breath-taking views and a village-like ambiance. It also happens to be very kid-friendly – this is where I am raising two kiddos!

The highlights of this walk include wandering the cobblestone streets of Montmartre that transport you back to another era, walking in the footsteps of the Impressionists and sketching in front of Picasso’s studio, seeing today's artists in action at the Place du Tertre, and a breath-taking view over Paris in front of the majestic Sacré Coeur Basilica.

Central Paris

Central Paris is the birthplace of Paris and a must-visit area, brimming with history, unique architecture and some of Paris' most iconic monuments. This area is along the banks of the Seine river, making it very picturesque and unique to explore.

The highlights of this walk include

• Learning about the Paris City Hall
• Exploring the lower Marais neighborhood, and seeing some of the oldest streets and buildings in Paris
• Wandering on the two islands in Paris - the Ile Saint-Louis and the Ile de la Cité
• An ice cream stop at Berthillon
• Sketching at Notre Dame cathedral
• Visiting the iconic Shakespeare and Co. bookstore

Saint Germain

The Saint Germain neighborhood in Paris is very special. Filled with classic Parisian architecture, quaint squares, cute cafes and boutiques, this is probably this neighborhood that comes to mind when you imagine Paris! The neighborhood is also known for its rich literary history, and is a perfect spot to try many of Paris’ sweet treats, and have a picnic!

The highlights of this walk include :

• A beautiful church (that is less crowded than Notre Dame!).
• Some foodie activities, like a macaroon taste test and learning how to choose a good baguette.
• Some very cool hidden historical spots.
• And to end, the Luxembourg Gardens for some of the cutest kids’ activities around, and where you could plan a picnic!
