The Secret Garden Frances Burnett Reborn Book, Rebound, Recovered, Recycled
You've found Re-Born Books by The Patchwork Kitty
Hand rebound and designed by me using pre-loved books.
Due to the nature of using pre-owned books, minor cosmetic damage should be expected. This is my way of giving old books a new beautiful second life!
This hardcover book is rebound in sublimated book cloth using my original artwork, as well as gold metallic vinyl and features matte patterned custom end pages.
This is a Ready-Made handcrafted rebound hardcover of Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic novel, The Secret Garden.
This book is the first in what, I hope, will be a new line of One Of A Kind rebound books. The artwork for this book cover was sublimated (not printed) onto the cover using my own technique and has been signed on the inside back cover in gold foil to match the cover.

My Process:
I take preloved versions of classic books, and design beautiful, unique hardcovers for them. This is an involved process of gently cleaning and dismantling the book, cutting a new hard cover and book cloth by hand, attaching new end pages, re-binding the spine, designing images for the front back and spine covers, translating it onto vinyl, cutting, weeding, and applying the new vinyl images to the cover, painting the edges (when noted), attaching a bookmark (when noted), then finally assembling everything. The entire process can take several weeks for a single book. The hardcover is custom made and created from start to finish. This is a one of a kind, rebound, hardcover book that is unlike any other as I never fully repeat ANY of my designs! Although, I do repeat cover designs from time to time, I can assure that even when the cover design is similar (or even the same), there will always be some element that makes each book completely unique. I treat my Rebound Books like pieces of art to be treasured.
Please note that all our books are handmade and may have imperfections, but we do our best to notate and photograph any known imperfections.
