I love the changing of the seasons from fall to winter, when the cooler weather starts to settle in, and the holiday season begins. One of my favorite things to do is to curl up on the couch with a cup of my favorite herbal tea and start watching all of the new Hallmark Christmas movies! I am always inspired by all of the colorful knitwear accessories worn by the characters, and I wanted to create one of my own. The Tisane Cowl, worked in three contrasting colors, is sure to complement your winter wardrobe and keep you warm during the chilly season!

The Tisane Cowl is a triangular-shaped, bandana-style cowl. It begins with a garter-tab cast-on and is worked flat with three garter edge stitches on the right and left sides of the cowl and a stockinette stitch center spine. The shape of the neck is achieved by increasing 4 stitches on right side rows: one increase at the right edge, two increases on either side of the center spine, and one increase at the left edge. Once the neck circumference is achieved, the cowl is worked in the round with increases only along each side of the center spine. A fringe similar to the picot bind-off is worked for a decorative edging.
