The Children's Bulletins, Series I
Each Series of "The Children's Bulletins" contains a full year of hand-drawn, very engaging activities and lessons for children approximately ages 2-10. Each Series has 55 original masters, in a PDF format, from which either digital or photocopied activity sheets can be produced locally. Each Series has an additional cover page (if one is desired), and a Vacation Bible School page for additional uses.
Each bulletin page has one center picture, thin and fitting between the left and right side activities. Dr. Myke used those images for a children's sermon every week - and those basic ideas are also included in each Series. Anyone can come up with new ideas, sermonettes, devotions or any other means to help children learn even while they play.
These bulletins were imagined, designed and created by Dr. Myke Merrill for use in his local church in Hilton, NY, in the 1980s. The children coming to church with their families were tearing open many offering envelopes and finding random blank papers (including some pages in the pew Bibles!) on which they colored, did Tic-Tac-Toe games, or just scribbled. One solution, of course, was to correct the children and issue consequences... or give them something much better to involve them in learning and creating.
"The Children's Bulletins" was the result!
Dr. Myke produced only three series, which were utilized repeatedly. A 2-year old, having seen any particular bulletin, will experience the same bulletin three years later as a 5-year old very differently. And even again as an 8-year old. No community needs to be on a perpetual service, year after year, for a resource for young children.
Once you have purchased these materials, you can use the artwork, lessons or activities any way you wish.
