How High the Moon is a jazz standard with lyrics by Nancy Hamilton and music by Morgan Lewis. It was first featured in the 1940 Broadway revue Two for the Show. Since then, it has played for hundred of jazz musicians (Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, Dave Brubeck, Nat King Cole, Erroll Garner, Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Art Tatum and many others).  The Django version was one of the best known of this standard.
