At 90% costs, growth above 13% a month consumes cash — and at 80% costs you could grow at 49% and be fine. The threshold is yours to compute, not a rule of thumb.

What the year has to bring in

The first worksheet page starts from $55,000 of take-home income, $8,180 of overhead across the items listed and tax on profit, and works out the revenue the business needs: $81,513.33 a year. This business does not sell hours, so the kit does not turn that into an hourly rate. Every step is printed, with a blank worksheet for your own numbers.

A profitable month can still be the month you run out

Revenue is recognised when you invoice; cash arrives when the client pays. You net 26% of invoicing at flat sales but only 18% at 20% monthly growth, because the money arriving now was invoiced when you were smaller.

So there is a growth rate at which more work starts consuming cash, and it is yours to compute: at 90% costs it is 13% a month, at 80% costs 49%, and below 75% no realistic rate breaks it. Not a rule of thumb — a threshold.

Payment terms are the other half: 30-day terms need $14,850 of working capital on $30,000 a month, 60-day terms need $42,000.

Includes a live Excel workbook — a 12-month forecast and a critical-growth calculator that recalculate on your figures. All 60 formulas are verified by recalculation before release.

8 client scripts

Each one carries a line explaining why it is worded that way, because a script you do not understand is one you will not send. Placeholders are in [BRACKETS] so nothing goes out in someone else's words.

  • Chasing an invoice the day it goes overdue
  • Asking a new client for payment up front
  • Declining 60-day terms on a big contract
  • Negotiating longer terms with your own supplier
  • Telling a client the next stage waits for the last payment
  • Asking an existing client to move to standing order
  • The client who always pays late but always pays
  • Raising a late-payment fee without threatening anyone

What this is not

These numbers are not a market price. They are arithmetic about you — what your income target requires. They do not tell you what your market will pay. If the number is far above what your market bears, that is real information: something has to move, and quietly working below the floor is the one option that cannot last.

These are scripts, not contracts, and nothing here is legal or tax advice. No script threatens statutory interest, collections or legal action — whether any of those is available to you depends on your contract and jurisdiction. The 25% tax figure is a placeholder; ask your accountant for yours.

Honest about the format

Printable PDFs plus an editable Excel workbook, not a physical product. One US Letter PDF (10 pages) and one A4 PDF (10 pages), and one .xlsx that opens in Excel, Numbers, LibreOffice and Google Sheets. Files are available immediately after purchase; nothing ships.
