Eat More Vegetables + Go-To Grocery Lists
Omaha Dietitian promotes "nutrition by addition" -- the practice of adding foods that add nutrition (such as vegetables) instead of focusing on restriction. Improving your health through nutrition does not have to mean cutting out a bunch of foods! Adding more vegetables to your day means more fiber, vitamins, minerals, and "filling factor" -- vegetables add volume to what you eat, meaning you can eat more food and feel more satisfied after mealtimes.
These informational sheets, created by Registered Dietitian Hannah, will transform the way you think about vegetables. If you (or your kids) think you don't like vegetables or are "picky" ... you need to try these ideas! Open up your mind to creatively incorporating vegetables into your mealtimes. There may be an adjustment period as you experience different flavors and begin to eat more fiber, but your body will be grateful you made the change.
