The Shunammite's Son

By Kimani Upshur, M.Ed.

A kind woman in Shunem builds a little room for Elisha, God's prophet - and receives a promise she never asked for: a son. When the boy falls ill and dies, she runs straight to the man of God and will not let go until Elisha comes and prays. In ten moving chapters, children watch a little boy sneeze seven times back to life. This faithful paraphrase of 2 Kings 4 teaches that kindness is never wasted, and that God honors a mother's determined faith.
