Rob's Pod Go Starter Collection
Hi there and welcome!
There are 42 patches in this zip file. Many of them have four snapshots, often with clean, lead and experimental variations of the basic patch(snapshot A).
The patches do not use Impulse Responses and require the Pod Go to be at software version 2.0 because they use the new amps and cabinets.
The names of the patches typically speak for themselves, and I have also included a number of patches that I created from scratch. These usually start with 'Rob'.
I have done my best to create a collection that contains lots of different sounds so you can experiment further yourself.
Note : the Morph patch responds to the volume pedal by adding reverb and delay when the volume pedal is closed! So the standard patch is quite dry and you can add reverb and delay by adjusting the pedal.
The patches have been created using several guitars :
- Squier Telecaster with Seymour Duncan Little '59 Tele pickups
- Harley Benton HB35Plus Hollow Body ES335 style guitar
- Ibanez AZES40 Strat type guitar
I have spent approximately 1,5 years programming my Pod Go and this is a good selection of my work. This set should save you many many hours of work!
Please be aware that the Pod Go is not a magical box! I have done a lot of research to find out which amps and pedals were originally used by the artist and I have tried to find that specific amp/effect in the Pod. If it was not there I made close approximations of the gear taking into account what gear was available at the time. So if a guitarist used a Fender amp that is not in the Pod Go I picked a comparable amp of typically the same brand/period.
