31 Old Testament Devotions for the Anxious Covenant Child's Heart
"The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." - Zephaniah 3:17
Children often feel anxious and afraid. The world is big, and it's easy for them to feel lost and unsure. Sadly, the world tells them to find comfort in themselves, and gives them empty mantras of self-assurance to repeat - often according to Eastern religious practices.
But Christians know that we'll never find peace in ourselves or this sinful world, and we definitely won't find it by repeating empty words. We can, however, draw comfort from God's promises in the Bible. And the sooner our children hear those promises, the sooner they can believe God's promises as well.
These devotions are written by a mother to her covenant children to remind them that God's peace and love are all over the Bible. All we have to do is open the Word of God to find them.
This paperback is written so that elementary school-aged children can read it on their own or with a family. There are also optional discussion questions at the end of every chapter.
