A Towel for the Mermaid, A Lighthouse for Magic
Admittedly, this is an odd story. It's about two people at turning points in their respective lives who end up at the same lighthouse, people who come near the end of their lives only to find new lives.
It is poetic, it is romantic, and it is a bit strange. (Though it stands alone, it is also one of a number of stories I'm writing about lighthouses.)
“A Towel for the Mermaid, a Lighthouse for Magic” won a commendation in the 2015 City of Rockingham Short Fiction contest. If Australia liked it, maybe you will too...
You'll notice that there is no minimum price set for this story.
I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
