Ready to go to the Moon with Neil Armstrong?

Here is another one of our unique 3D pop-up project based learning for Apollo 11.

This Apollo 11 project is an engaging learning activity that will help kids get excited and be a part of one of America’s greatest moments.

There are 3 projects within this activity to help the kids understand each process of landing on the moon.

The first project is the launch. Kids will use their motor skills and craft skills to put together a spacecraft that we have provided a basic template for. They will be able to arrange their own Rocket launch viewing. I also provided a writing area to allow the kids to use their imagination to tell their own story.

The second project is the traveling in space part of the mission. This part of the project will help provide kids with a simple visual aid of space travel. They will enjoy creating and laying out their own scene using their imagination and putting together the moon and the earth, what kid doesn’t like that! Of course, there is a written area at the bottom left for the kids to create their own story or write down the actual information from the event.

The third part of this project is the landing. To provide kids with accurate information I have created a look alike lander that is very simple to cut and easy to put together along with 2 astronauts, one of which is Neil Armstrong.

We have many series of this type of project that offers a variety of themes. Check them out!

Kids will learn to focus on sentence building, cut and pasting, craft, coloring, motor skills, and freedom of imagination.

You will receive both a colored and a black and white version in the file.

In the file you will receive:

*The PDF file of all the scenes that includes a pre-outline of the cutting area of all the images.

*Within this activity kids will be able to color, cut /paste/ build, and let their imaginations do the work.

*At the bottom of the base there is a section for sentence construction about the objects they have created.

You will need:

* Scissors

* Glue

*Coloring pencils (optional).

* You could use regular paper or construction paper.

Step by step instructions added to help in the assembly.

Let's make learning fun! Help kids learn and let their imagination fly.

You will get a PDF (11MB) file
