Replacement Studs and Girdles
Ford switched to a nylon.plastic stud girdle in the 70s. These girdles crack and allow the stud to spin in girdle resulting in a non functioning gauge. This a very common issue on the truck ammeters.
- If the stud assembly on your volt meter is broken or cracked it will need to be replaced.
Please include stud replacement in your order.
- If the stud girdle is cracked or broken and you do not order replacement you will have the option of paying for replacement or having your gauge returned without conversion.
No, I do not sell these separately, only with a gauge conversion.
