Our Little Secret: Freshman Year blurb
Melody Jackson was a classic overachiever and the daughter of two high society lawyers with a joint practice. Her life came with a silver spoon as long as she lived up to the expectations of her family and friends. The collective weighed her down with expectations and even decided on the university she would attend without her input. The night of her high school graduation, she disappointed them all by opting to take a year at the local community college to figure out her own desires.
What she didn’t need was the high school’s QB 2, Steven Shaye, serving as an annoying reminder of what she was running from. Yet, with only the silence of her own perspective, he wasn’t so bad.
Steven Shaye’s life was planned out for him. His father’s failed legacy in sports was now his burden to bear. He not only had to strive to live out his parents’ dream of making it to the NFL, he had to find a way to fund their pricey dream because they couldn’t. After not standing out in high school, the next best option would be to make a name for himself in community college. He just had to stay focused and get that full ride he so desperately needed. That would be hard to handle with the distractingly beautiful Melody Jackson there, too.
With redemption, clarity, and navigating freshman year of college on the line, can they resist the tempting pull of throwing love in the mix?
