Lenten Devotional 2024: Ever Changing World, Never Changing Word

The season of Lent offers a meaningful opportunity for us to nurture our spiritual discipline. During this

period, let us engage in self-examination and reflection, focusing on God's Word, as we prepare to commemorate the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus and welcome the Easter season.

Our world is constantly evolving, and the post-pandemic era has accelerated these changes. After three years of the pandemic, we have transitioned into a new normal of a significantly transformed world. These shifts, whether in people, events, or circumstances, give rise to uncertainties and anxieties. It is as if life is a vessel adrift in the vast ocean. In the midst of such profound changes, we find solace in the fact that God remains unwavering, and His Word stands eternally firm, like an anchor for our souls.

May we continue to receive God's abundant grace, nurturing our spiritual growth through His timeless

and unchanging Word. Let our minds be renewed and transformed in Him. As the book of James reminds us, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change" (James 1:17). Amen!
