Instant material area takeoff and plywood sheet count for your model.
DESCRIPTION
Hunicreative Material Area & Plywood answers two everyday questions in seconds: how many square metres of a material are in my model, and how many plywood sheets do I need? Sample a material and every face that uses it - even deep inside groups and components - is highlighted and totalled. The Plywood tab groups your panels by thickness, counts the sheets needed and exports a cutting list.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Select the Paint Bucket, hold Alt (Mac: Command) and click a face to sample its material.
2. Right-click and choose All with Same Material (or click the toolbar icon) - the faces are highlighted and the area appears in the panel.
3. Press Esc or click in the view to hide the highlight. The toolbar icon opens the panel even when no material is sampled yet.
4. For plywood: open the panel, go to the Plywood tab, set thicknesses and sheet size, then click COUNT PLYWOOD.
5. Note: each plywood panel should be its own group or component.
REQUIREMENTS
SketchUp 2017 or newer on Windows (SketchUp 2023+ recommended). Metric units (mm / cm).
