About Re:Frame
Re:Frame is a Berlin-based curatorial platform for East and Southeast Asian moving image and its diasporas, initiated by CiLENS. Its first edition, Nearby and Opaque, took place in Berlin from 10 to 19 September 2026, bringing together films and filmmakers from across the region and its diasporas. Since 2022, CiLENS has been curating Sinophone cinema in Berlin, most notably through Indie Chinese Cinema Week. Re:Frame grows out of that work and opens it to a wider field of practices shaped by entangled histories of migration, translation and belonging.
