There are works that are born to exist in the present, and others that seem to emerge from a time that has never been fully recorded. ''Das Kalte Archiv [Verlorene Aufnahmen]'' belongs to this second category: a collection of six sound documents that share a common emotional origin, while maintaining autonomous and distinct identities.

This compilation does not seek stylistic coherence in the conventional sense, but a deeper and less obvious coherence—that of distance, memory, and incomplete presence. Each recording seems to exist in a state of suspension, as if preserved not to be listened to, but to be rediscovered.

Synthesizers are used not to fill space, but to define it. The structures are essential, devoid of superfluous ornamentation, and develop with an internal logic that favors repetition, subtraction, and silence. The voices do not dominate the composition, but inhabit it: they emerge, retreat, and remain. They do not narrate, but bear witness.

Das Kalte Archiv is not a nostalgic statement, nor a stylistic exercise. Rather, it is a closed system, a collection of fragments that share the same emotional temperature. The tracks do not seek resolution, and for this very reason they retain their strength. They remain open, like unfinished structures that continue to exist even after the listening session has ended.

This collection does not offer answers. It offers presence.

And, in that presence, something continues to persist.
