The Art of Math in Design: Mathematics in Motion: Design with Purpose
Taught by Shalon, a UX strategist and instructional designer with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s in Advertising & Graphic Design, this course explores the rich connection between art, math, and design.
Students will engage with geometry, symmetry, scale, and patterns, discovering how mathematical principles shape visual composition and creative problem-solving. Through hands-on projects and interactive challenges, learners will build confidence in blending logic and artistry to develop structured, innovative designs.
As a bonus, students will also explore modern design tools, including AI-assisted techniques that enhance creativity and efficiency, helping them bring their ideas to life in new ways.
