Homemade cookies are my favorite treat to enjoy with ice cream. But have you ever tried homemade cookies IN homemade ice cream? The real magic happens when the nutty flavors of the ice cream mingle with the sweet and salty components of the buttery brown sugar cookies, resulting in a perfectly balanced and truly delightful eating experience. The addition of M&Ms is purely for nostalgic reasons. I have wonderful memories of baking M&M cookies as a child, especially during the Halloween season. Feel free to incorporate bits of your favorite candy, or stick to traditional chocolate chips if that's more your style.

Malted milk and cookies

I will be honest. I purchased a lot of these recipes to try and to support my fellow ice cream makers. I did not expect much from it, and the ratios seemed acceptable. I am also not a fan of cookies made with melted butter, I prefer a stiff puffy cookie.

I say all that to say that this recipe was amazing. I churned it and tried it after a week of letting it harden and let the flavors melt. The malted milk ice cream base was well balanced. The cookies were fantastic in the ice cream. They held up very well and still had good texture despite sitting in the ice cream. All in all, a very solid flavor i look forward to sharing with others.
