Avia agrees to accompany him, despite having little patience for priests, worship or religious authority. At Parramattma Parvet, Putt begins asking questions that the priests would rather answer on their own terms. Osapi attracts attention for reasons he cannot hide, and Avia soon finds herself facing people who believe their rules apply to everyone.
When those rules place her family in danger, Avia responds as she always has. Directly, stubbornly and with very little respect for authority.
