[How do I know what I'm talking about?

I have run a non profit called UK Wildlife Transporters for almost 5 years now; we have received the same types of calls many 1000s of times. In most cases, the callers have been trying for hours - sometimes for days - to get the basic information that this e-booklet is offering (where to find help and what to do for the animal in the meantime). In a lot of cases, the wrong food had already been given to the casualty, while the caller tried to find help - sometimes any food/water at all is wrong - and the casualties had been kept in inappropriate conditions that had lessened their chances of survival. All of this is preventable as long as you are prepared when you find a wildlife casualty or orphan. At UKWT we no longer take calls, so I have created this e-booklet instead...]
