Installment 89 of Finding the Names continues Roll 11 — New Orleans Inward Manifests, 1846–1847 (National Archives Microfilm Publication M1895, Roll 11, NAID 173892418), images 481–600: 715 people on 60 manifests, transcribed name by name from the original records at the National Archives. The project now stands at 57,207 entries.

Inside: the Victorine's New Year's Eve — three filings sworn at Baltimore on a single day, 31 December 1846, under Captain Hobbs. Donovan's Kirkwood carries 84, mostly teenagers, with a boy entered under the given name "Colonel." Miriam, 16, and Alin, 11, were papered out of Galveston — and at New Orleans the inspector found that the "Two others could not be found on Board." Jane Cox stands marked with an X, "not shipped," in the deputy collector's own footnote. And Dianh Spriggs's four-month-old exists only inside her mother's line, because the collector left the sailing's total blank. The last sheet runs off the book's edge — the Richmond Parthian's table is still going at image 600.

This download contains the full book (PDF, 280 pages, large print) AND the complete name list for this installment as a spreadsheet (CSV) — every name as written, with ship, date, age, height, and the manifest image number, so any entry can be checked against the original scan.

Every name is transcribed by hand from the National Archives' own scans of the original manifests. Where a manifest and its certificate disagree, we print both. Nothing is guessed, and nobody is left out.
