Sylvan Tales Mitts Pattern
These beautiful mitts use a combination of brioche increases, decreases and syncopation to create the branching leaves. This leaf motif was originally developed for the Sylvan Tales Shawl, but since I’m a bit obsessed with these leaves I wanted to make some matching accessories! The mitts are knit in-the-round and from the bottom-up. These mitts match the Sylvan Tales Hat.
The mitts feature an optional knitted-in hem at the bottom cuff and the optional top hem is fastened off using Kitchener stitch. Video tutorial links are provided for both, but your favorite stretchy methods for cast-on and bind-off may be substituted.
The pattern includes both charts and written instructions for the leaves. Also provided are links to video tutorials for the brioche decreases, as well as video tutorials for working the optional hems.
