Little Bible Explorers: Moses and the Five Sisters | Digital Edition

Maya has a planting idea she wants to share. Join Eli, Maya and Mum as they explore the Bible account of five sisters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah. Their father has died, and they have an important question about their family’s future share of land.

The sisters bring their request to Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders and the gathered people. Moses brings their case before God. God affirms their request and gives a ruling that matters beyond this one family.

Original-series-style illustrations accompany this selected retelling. Separate modern family scenes encourage children to share ideas, listen with care and make room for each other.

READING TOGETHER

The sisters’ father’s death is mentioned gently, not pictured. Preview and pause as needed. Grown-up notes explain the ancient inheritance rule and details omitted from the child-facing retelling. The ruling applies to daughters when there is no son; it does not establish equal inheritance between sons and daughters. The modern turn-taking scenes are a separate example of listening, not an equivalent to losing a family inheritance.

Children deserve care whether they speak confidently or communicate by pointing, drawing, aids or another person’s help. Being heard does not guarantee every request will be granted. Drawing activities use safe materials with adult supervision.

Modern scenes are fictional; ancient settings and the sisters’ appearance are imaginative. AI-assisted illustrations selected and reviewed for this edition.
