Successful Strategies for the Beginning Indie Author

Coaching, Procedures, Systems, Tools

The first step is always the hardest

Writing a book is a major accomplishment! Did you know that over 80% of people state that they want to write a book? Sadly, few achieve this goal. Of those who start writing, 97% never complete it. Even more important is that those who finish their novel never publish their work with a smaller percentage of only 1-3% publishing their book.

However, writing a book is only one small piece of getting your work in front of readers. In order to be successful as a self-published or independent author, you must wear all the hats associated with publication. Thus, publishing can seem overwhelming!

Many beginning authors resort to hiring help to have their books published through various organizations. Sadly, many of these companies are fraught with pitfalls and can often cost you more in the long run. They are often referred to as hybrid or vanity publishers. Sadly, they prey on beginning indie authors who don’t know what to do or are not familiar with the myriad aspects of self-publishing.

While it may seem the information for a beginning indie author is all doom and gloom, there are many qualified and trustworthy coaches, consultants, and organizations that are eager to assist the beginning indie author at the start of their author career. The most important factor is determining where you are on your author journey and what help will best serve you and your personality.

This is why I love coaching. I want to help beginning indie authors like you to not hit any of the potholes I found along the way.

Is Your Path Ahead Unclear?

I'd welcome the opportunity to chat with you about a consultation. During our time, I may recommend some books, another coach specific to your genre or needs, as well as some actionable steps. Individual coaching is limited and is only offered to those beginning indie authors that are ready to move forward. My goal is not to gain a lot of coaching clients. My goal is to ensure that you get the help you need for where you're at in your author journey.
