Workplace Behavior Task Box: Job Skills and Soft Skills for Transition, Ages 14 to 21
Why I made this: Most of students who lose a job site placement do not lose it over the actual task. This box teaches those unwritten rules directly, from simple pictures to real problems on the job, so students know what to do before it happens.
What’s included (20 pages):
• Level A ●: 12 picture cards to sort "expected at work" or "not expected"
• Level B ■: 24 work behavior cards to sort
• Level C ▲: 24 "what would you do at work?" cards with 3 choices
• A sorting mat, a "What employers look for" page, and a goals page
• 3 practice pages, one for each level
• Answer key for every card
• Data sheet and a 10 session accuracy graph
• A try it for real page with an adult check
• Ideas for practice at school, home, and job sites, and blank cards
How I use it: I start with the "What employers look for" page, then students work on their level in the task box. Before a job site visit, each student sets 3 goals, and I use the adult check after the visit.
Who it is for: Transition, special education, life skills, and vocational teachers, job coaches, and paras working with students in grades 9 to 12 and 18 to 21 programs.
What you download: Workplace Behavior Task Box Job Ready.pdf (20 pages, US Letter, print ready).
How this is different: Soft Skills Scenario Cards is a set of 40 printable "what would you do" situations, and the digital deck is a drag and drop PowerPoint. This is a leveled task box: Level A picture sort, Level B sort cards, and Level C three choice cards, plus a goals page, an adult check, and data. All cards are new, and no text is shared.
