The Lamb of God Made Simple
When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming to the Jordan River, he pointed and cried, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29). One sentence, and the whole Bible opened up in it.
The Lamb of God Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through that declaration: the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, the coats of skins in Eden, the ram on Mount Moriah, the Passover lamb in Egypt, the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53, the cross where the Lamb was slain, the empty tomb where He rose, and the throne of Revelation where millions cry, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain."
Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who gave His Son; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior -- the Lamb Himself; and the Holy Spirit, who alone opens blind eyes to see Him and gives the power to follow Him. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.
Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Read slowly. Behold Him.
