Six self-paced field guides and toolkits for the conversations and habits that make homeless services work, with the license for your team size.

Rich Los Angeles context. Skills that work wherever you practice. Built for homeless-services staff in any US city or county, with Los Angeles as the worked example.

What's included

  • Conversations That Build Change: motivational interviewing in homeless services.
  • Staying Current: find, check and use the information your work depends on.
  • Trauma-Informed Conversations: everyday practice with real choices and fewer retellings.
  • Respectful Engagement: cultural humility, language access and accommodation in everyday service.
  • Hard Conversations: saying no, not yet and "I don't know", well.
  • Boundaries That Last: sustaining yourself and your work.

Each toolkit comes as its own ZIP with:

  • a Start Here guide;
  • a field guide of five 25-minute lessons with practice and feedback;
  • four one-page job aids and a Check Yours worksheet;
  • nine editable Word practice tools with a printable PDF (Staying Current also has an Excel tracker).

Choose your license

  • Individual, $149: one named person.
  • Program / Site Team, $599: up to 15 named users in one program at one address, or one established mobile or remote team.
  • Agency / Multi-site, $1,490: up to 50 named users across the programs and sites one organization runs directly (for a government buyer, one named department or bureau).

Each toolkit's license is in its "Licenses and Notes" folder. Bought separately, the six cost $294, $1,194 or $2,994 by tier.

Good to know

  • Every claim is sourced. Laws and regulations were read in the official text; research was checked against the published record. Rules were checked in October 2026, and each toolkit lists what to recheck where you work.
  • These are education, not legal, clinical or HR advice, and not a certification. Your agency's policies, contracts and funders' rules still govern your work.
  • The PDFs aren't certified PDF/UA accessible. Worksheets and tools are also supplied in Word.
  • Published by Homeless Services Learning Lab Foundation (California).
