Following in the footsteps of "Different Worlds Vol. 2", which served as a stepping stone toward this new sound, “Kingdoms of Dust” reflects a profound artistic identity. The direction was further influenced through Gabriela's musical partnership with Tim Sutherland on the SGP track “Dining with the Dead,” which played a key role in inspiring the album’s intensified musical direction. This style captures where Gabriela feels she is, both in her state of mind and her state of heart. This style allows Gabriela to express herself more naturally, giving her the freedom to convey that side of her personality through music.

All songs were composed and written by Gabriela Gomes, except for “Dark Magic,” which was written by Daniela Gomes and co-written by Gabriela Gomes. “Workin' Class Somethin'-or-other” was written by Tim Sutherland. The title track “Kingdoms of Dust” was primarily written by Gabriela Gomes, with additional lyric ideas contributed by Daniela Gomes. The album artwork was designed by the highly talented Tim Sutherland, who also created the distinctive Ghost Jaguar logo, bringing his strong artistic vision and design sensibility to both.
