- Income (up to 399 invoices): Invoice Date, Client, Project/Invoice #, Amount, Due Date, Paid Date. Status (Paid/Unpaid/Overdue) and Days Overdue fill in automatically, and overdue rows turn red.

- Dashboard: by month, invoiced, collected, expenses, deductible, profit, set aside for tax and % of goal. A quarterly table with collected, deductible, estimated taxable profit, set-aside and typical US due dates (Apr 15, Jun 15, Sep 15, Jan 15). Also unpaid invoices, overdue $, missing receipts, spending by category and a chart.

- Instructions tab + 1-page Start Here PDF. Fictional DEMO rows (highlighted yellow) show how it works. Delete them to start.

How it works

1. Open the .xlsx in Excel or save it as a Google Sheet, then set your tax year and set-aside % in Settings.

2. Add a row for every invoice; enter the Paid Date when the client pays.

3. Log expenses and mark whether each is deductible and has a receipt.

4. Check the Dashboard each month and before each quarterly due date.

Works in Excel and Google Sheets (upload the .xlsx to Google Drive, then File > Save as Google Sheets). No macros, scripts or add-ons. A file you keep: no subscription or app account.

Who it's for: freelancers, independent contractors, 1099 workers and side hustlers who want simple income, expense and tax tracking without accounting software.

FAQ

- Does it calculate my actual tax? No. It applies the set-aside % you choose to profit. It is an estimate, not tax advice.

- Non-US? The tracking works anywhere; the due dates listed are typical US dates.

- Is it a subscription? No. You pay once.
