Ustaadha Latifa
Ustaadha Latifa is a Black female reciter who holds an ijaaza in Recitation Hafs 'an Aasim by the way of Shaatibiyyah from Damascus, Syria. She supports women to deepen their connection to Allah through the study of Qur’aanic reflection and vocabulary.
She lived and studied in the Middle East for ten years then taught Arabic and Islamic Studies, Women's Fiqh, Tafseer, and Tajweed to Arabic speaking students in Yemen and then here in the United States.
