And there are books and materials list at the beginning of the unit to help you know exactly what you will need to complete the activities as you work through the unit. All of this means that this is a low-stress, simple way to learn through literature.
This is a 38-page unit study. It includes subject area activities for:
- Language arts
- History/social studies/geography
- Fine arts/handicrafts
- Vocabulary words
- Discussion questions
- Materials list
- Weekly schedule
- Notebooking pages for subject area activities
This unit study is designed for grades 2-6 but can definitely be adapted for older or younger kids.
Using the unit study is easy for you. Just print the notebooking pages that you need for each student. And print one copy of the schedule and activity instructions for yourself. Give each student a three-ring binder, and they can create a notebook as they go through the activities in the study to demonstrate what they've learned. Use my literature unit studies all year long and organize each study in one large binder.
