What students are saying
Loved this class. I always struggle when it comes to doodling, this has shown me how to just let my creative juices flow. I've always been impressed when I see this type of art and thought it looked so hard and complicated but now I've seen how to do it in stages (and it seems so simple) I can't wait to get doodling.

Of the beginner doodle courses I've seen, this was by far one of the best ones. Cristin actually shows you how to play with creating variations of simple marks, turn them into patterns, embellish them, and then use them in your doodle art. I favor courses that teach you how to build your own patterns rather than those that expect you to copy theirs.

I absolutely loved this class. It was so basic but so so helpful if you want to get started drawing or doodling - or maybe zentangle or mandalas. If you don't know what to do when you put your pen or pencil on the page this is the class for you. So simple but so valuable, and I will continue to use this "what else" thought process forever....it’s amazing what else you can create.

✿ Reduce stress and mental overwhelm
✿ Improve focus and concentration
✿ Encourage mindfulness and relaxation
✿ Increase creative confidence
✿ Help quiet racing thoughts
✿ Provide a healthy creative outlet
✿ Improve memory retention and idea generation
✿ Create calming screen-free moments
Sometimes your brain doesn’t need another productivity hack.
Sometimes it just needs a page full of triangles. Or circles. Tiny lines. Weird flowers. Even nonsense shapes.
FAQs
-
This isn’t a stiff technical drawing class.
There are no complicated art rules, intimidating critiques, nor any pressure to “do it right.”
Every lesson is designed to feel approachable, calming, and creatively freeing so you can build a doodling habit that actually feels good instead of feeling like homework.
-
Not even slightly.
This workshop was created for beginners, overwhelmed humans, and people who think “being bad at art” is a personality trait.
If you can draw a line, a circle, an arc, a teardrop, a squiggly wavy line, or a slightly questionable blob shape, you can doodle.
-
You will need:
✿ Something to doodle on
(such as paper, notepad, sketchbook, iPad, tablet, or a piece of junk mail)
✿ Something to doodle with
(such a pens, pencils, markers, crayons)
✿ Optional: The workshop includes downloadable worksheets and templates to help get you started.
Fancy art supplies are welcome but absolutely not required.
-
Yes, completely!
The lessons are designed to feel approachable, relaxing, and pressure-free.
No complicated techniques or intimidating art jargon.
I walk you step by step through each level.
-
Nope!
The workshop is pre-recorded videos you watch at your own pace.
This means no deadlines, no awkward participation pressure, and you can pause, rewind, slow down or speed up the videos as you like.
You can doodle at 2 AM in pajama pants with a snack nearby. Spiritually, that’s my ideal artsy anesthetic anyway.
-
Lessons are intentionally bite-sized and easy to follow.
Each video lesson is under 10 minutes but you can turn it into full cozy sketchbook sessions if you want to keep going.
-
Of course! Traditional and digital artists are both welcome here.
Doodling works great digitally, especially in Procreate. You can even upload the worksheets right into a Procreate canvas.
My favorite brush for doodling in Procreate is the Monoline brush that comes included in the app.
-
You’ll finish with something better:
More creative confidence.
A relaxed drawing habit.
A collection of doodles and patterns you can return to anytime.
And hopefully less fear around creating imperfect things. Which, frankly, is rarer than technical skills.
-
Yes! You can sell your completed artworks as long as they aren’t exact copies of mine.
You cannot resell the worsksheets or videos or use my content to sell your own doodle course.
-
Yes, kids and teens can absolutely enjoy it, especially creative kids who like patterns, sketchbooks, or calming activities.
The course is primarily designed for adults and teens, but the doodling exercises themselves are beginner-friendly and approachable for any ages.
-
No. It’s a doodle workshop.
While it’s a surprisingly soothing doodle workshop, it’s still not therapy. Your insurance company remains uninvolved.
