For independent designers, photographers, small online sellers, and freelancers who keep a collection of product photos, PDFs, videos, or other assets in local folders and want a simple way to browse them. Best for someone comfortable running a short Python command, or with an assistant who can help.

EXAMPLE

You have a folder containing 800 product photos named by SKU. Generate the catalog, open it in your browser, search a SKU, and click the matching file. It searches filenames, folder paths and file types—not objects inside photos or words inside PDFs.

WHAT IT IS

An offline file catalog generator and searchable folder index. It does not rename or organize files for you, and it is not a photo-thumbnail gallery, cloud drive, backup tool, or full-text document search engine.

Keep your assets in their folders and build a browser page that helps you find them. Search by filename, folder, or file type, then open the original file. No account, upload, or monthly service.

Includes a five-page PDF guide, text guide, Python catalog generator, fictional sample collection, setup instructions, usage license, and self-tests. Learn how to build your first catalog, update it, and move a complete collection while keeping its relative links working.

Requires Python 3.11 or later and a desktop browser. No third-party Python packages are required. Keep the generated catalog on the same drive as its collection, preferably inside the top folder.

Indexes supported images, PDFs, videos, text files, CSVs and ZIPs by name; it does not search inside documents. Hidden files and filesystem links are skipped. Limits: 10,000 indexed files and 100,000 visited entries. It does not back up or synchronize your collection.
