Sneak into the quiet world of summer knitting with a design replete with simple elegant detailing.  Summer Hideaway comprises Summer Hideaway Sweater and Summer Hideaway Tank.  Inspired by the simple joys of summer discoveries from hidden waterfalls to serene lakes, from family-friendly park picnics to coffee with friends at the local cafes.  The easy two-row repeat of the Summer Hideaway sets the design apart from the ordinary while the large needle keeps the knitting delightfully quick.

Construction: both Summer Hideaway Sweater and Summer Hideaway Tank are knit bottom up seamlessly with two hem options.  Both also feature a unique edge-as-you-go seamless detail!  A 3-needle-bind off joins the shoulders.  The sleeves on Summer Hideaway Sweater are top-down.

The pattern is tech edited and test knit.  The directions are fully written.  Two videos are also available, 1 for the stitch pattern and 1 for the unique underarm short rows.  With an easy stitch pattern, this design is geared towards adventurous knitters, who are familiar with sweater construction and looking for techniques that are a little different.

Special Notes:
• Construct It, Sweater: Summer Hideaway Sweater is worked bottom up in the round, seamlessly.  Finishing work is designed to be kept to a minimum with fun knitting techniques.  The armhole shaping is worked flat with a contiguous seamless edge.  The trim along the neck is picked up after the shoulders are bound off.  Sleeves are picked up from the armhole edging and worked top down.
• Swoop It: Summer Hideaway features a swooping hemline. This is optional. If you skip the Short Rows section in hem, the design will be straight across the bottom as seen in the tank sample.
• Swatch It: work a generously sized swatch, wash, and block. The overall weight of the sweater affects the final blocked gauge. For reference, designer’s unblocked gauge was 23 sts and 25 rnds over 4”/ 10cm in pattern stitch using larger needles.
